We were one of only
two couples silly enough to ride the big 80-person gondola up to the top of Cannon
Mountain when the visibility from up there was zero. We were soooo glad we did once
we reached the top, because it was a wonderful experience. We hiked all over the
cold blustery mountaintop (around 5000 feet above sea level), through the rocky terrain
and through the gnarly old pine forests. Breathing actual clouds was an interesting
concept, too. It worked for us!!
